RE: The tariff classification of a toothbrush with self feeding toothpaste from Hungary.
Dear Mr. Dougherty:
In your letter dated May 14, 1996, on behalf of Wonder Tooth Brush, Inc., you requested a tariff classification ruling.
The submitted sample is a plastic toothbrush with a detachable handle. The handle serves as a reservoir which will be filled with toothpaste. The toothbrush will be sold in blister packs with either one or two brush/toothpaste combinations.
The applicable subheading for the toothbrush with self feeding toothpaste will be 9603.21.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for ...brushes...: Toothbrushes,...: Toothbrushes,.... The rate of duty will be 0.1› each + 2%.
This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
